SHIPPING

Our shipping and processing charges are intended to compensate our company for processing your order, handling and packing the products you purchase, delivering them to you, and any related overheads.

 

IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFO:

We ship all items via a 'signed for' courier service, so please make sure you add delivery notes or specify a delivery address where someone will be there to sign for your item.

Please provide a physical address for delivery. We are unable to deliver to PO Boxes.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER ARRIVE?

We ship orders Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays). Standard shipping takes 5-7 days in the UK and up to 8 days for the Rest of the World.

We endeavour to ship all items within 48 hours with a tracked courier service. The couriers operate a Monday to Friday service between 9am - 5pm and a specific time slot cannot be specified.

Items ordered after 12 noon on a Friday will not be shipped until Monday.

Yes, both UK and European orders can be shipped faster.

Orders placed Monday - Thursday before 12 noon can be delivered via an Express service, see the chart below for expected delivery days.

UK Express delivery on orders placed between Thursday 12 noon and Friday 12 noon will arrive on Monday.

UK Express delivery on orders placed after 12 noon on Friday will arrive on Tuesday.

If we are unable to ship your item faster, we will contact you asap.

If you are based in the Manchester area then you are welcome to collect your order in person from M4 5FY. You will be notified via email when your order is ready to collect.

CUSTOMS & DUTIES INFORMATION - The buyer is responsible for all import duties and taxes that are liable once your package reaches the country of destination. Please contact your local customs office for further information and more details.

WHY ARE THERE DIFFERENT RATES FOR SMALL AND LARGE ITEMS?

Shipping is calculated on volumetric weight. Jewellery and small scarves are sent as small items. Large item rates apply to all handbags, backpacks and leather bags.

PLEASE NOTE:

Hoochie Mama uses Tracked Service through Domestic and International Couriers to dispatch items. Once an order has left the Hoochiemama offices it is in the care of the chosen courier. Hoochie Mama can not be held responsible for any errors or postal delays made by these courier services. Please allow up to 7 working days for your order to arrive before reporting it missing.

Duties: Some countries may charge import duties, tax, or other fees. We have no control over this and it's your responsibility to pay for any fees.


RETURNS

We’re pretty certain you’ll love your order but if you do change your mind you have up to 14 days (from the date of purchase or shipment date) to return any merchandise with which you are not satisfied. You must ship the item(s) back to us and it must arrive within 30 days.
 
We are unable to issue refunds after 45 days. We cannot issue refunds for faulty items that have been used. If an item has been used only repair will be offered within 12 months of purchase. The customer is responsible for all shipping charges when sending the item back to us. Normal wear and tear is not cover by this guarantee and we reserve the right to refuse a free repair service if an item has been misused.
 
 
If you wish to return your purchase then please email mama@hoochiemama.me so we can issue you with a returns code and our returns address. In your email please make sure you include all of the following information:
  1. Your order number
  2. Your full name
  3. Item number or name
  4. Reason for return

PLEASE NOTE:
  • We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges on earrings (or any other pierced jewellery) that has had its hygiene seal tampered or broken.
  • Items must be returned unworn and in good and saleable condition.
  • We recommend all returns be sent using an insured recorded delivery service with tracking and scanning.
  • Returns postage is paid by the customer.
  • Hoochie Mama does not accept liability for any returned goods lost or damaged in the post.
  • Returns outside the stated time frame will only be accepted at the discretion of Hoochie Mama.
  • Refunds will only be made to the card used to purchase the goods with.
  • Credit and Debit Card refunds may take up to 10 working days for your bank to complete.
  • Hoochie Mama does not accept liability for the length of time particular banks take to process refunds.
 
We check everything before we ship it so please notify us immediately on receipt of your order if your item has been damaged in transit.
 
 
** We really really recommend using a 'Signed For' delivery service to make sure your parcel reaches us, and retain your postage receipt. We can't accept responsibility for items that fail to get to us. **
